status as a bureau office since 1989, the company developed
to become a fully-fledged establishment operating as a
Commercial Agency in 2004, and as an exclusive Distributor
for the following Manufacturers:

Hyundai Corporation:
The Company
partnered with Hyundai Corporation for the Electric and
Electronic Home Appliances for the Iraq Market.
Al-Kasid is
again representing another Hyundai Product to ensure that
Hyundai and Al-Kasid names go together.
2)
Hyundai Motor Company (HMC):
Al-Kasid
has been importing Hyundai vehicles since 1996.
In 1999,
HMC presented Al-Kasid with a Letter of Intent to facilitate
its business in Iraq.
• In
2003, Al-Kasid officially ventured with Hyundai Motor
Company as its Exclusive Distributor in Iraq following a
change that allowed local private companies to represent
Auto Manufacturers.
• Al-Kasid
introduced Hyundai Vehicles to all the Iraqi Ministries as
well as the Private Market and is currently enjoying the
highest Market Share for both the Passenger and Commercial
vehicles.
• Products
of Hyundai Motors in Iraq and target volumes as at 2008:
1- Passenger Cars: 9,000 Units
2- Light Commercial Cars: 2,000 Units
3- Buses, Medium and Heavy Commercial (and S.P.V.): 600
